New Delhi: Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan has an eye for detailing and gets into the skin of his characters while portraying them on-screen. And that perhaps explains why his roleplay often strikes a direct connect with the audience.
Dangal's historic success in China is a solid proof of it. The film is a biopic based on the life of Mahavir Singh Phogat who taught wrestling to daughters Geeta and Babita despite receiving flak from the peers. While Geeta became India's first female wrestler to win gold at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in 55 kg. Her sister Babita Kumari won the silver medal in 51 kg.
Aamir's massive body transformation and amazing acting prowess coupled with great supporting cast ensured its historic run at the box office not just in the country but abroad as well.
Noted film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted about the recent figures of the film in China.
He wrote:
