Aashiqui 3: Rumoured couple – Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra on board?

Mumbai: The Aashiqui franchise has been one of the biggest romantic blockbusters of all times. After the massive success of Aashiqui 2 featuring Aditya Roy Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor, Mohit Suri is reportedly gearing up for the third instalment – Aashiqui 3.

And going the latest reports, it looks likely that rumoured couple – Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt will join forces for the romantic tale!

According to DNA, Mohit and Sid have been discussing the script lately. As soon as Sid is done with Neeraj Pandey’s ‘Aiyyari’, he will lock his dates for ‘Aashiqui 3’.

“Alia is also busy shooting for Meghna Gulzar’s next but it’s a smaller film with a start-to-finish schedule. Once she wraps up Meghna’s film, she will have some time in her hand before she begins work on Gully Boy in November. Mohit wants to shoot Aashiqui 3 in that time so they are planning to lock in on the script as soon as possible,” DNA quoted a source as saying.

Interestingly, Alia and Sidharth made their debut with Karan Johar’s ‘Student of the Year’ in 2012. They were paired opposite each other in ‘Kapoor and Sons’. And now, if all goes well, ‘Aashiqui 3’ will seem them romancing for the third time on screen.
