After Hate Story 4, Sooraj Pancholi to star in dance-based film
Sooraj made his debut opposite Athiya Shetty in Nikhil Advani`s `Hero` in 2015. The film was the remake of Subhash Ghai`s directed 1983 film of the same name, which starred Jackie Shroff.
New Delhi: Actor Sooraj Pancholi, who was last seen in 'Hate Story 4' is all set to work on an untitled dance-based film, which will be written by 'ABCD: Anybody Can Dance' director Remo D'souza.
A director for the upcoming film is yet to be roped in.
"I have always been passionate about dancing. When I got to know that the film is dance-based and I will be learning different kinds of dance forms for this movie, I was thrilled beyond words," Sooraj said in a statement to IANS.
Remo D'souza, on the other hand, is helming 'Race 3' and is excited to be a part of the hit 'Race' franchise.
"Ten years of 'Race' .... I am so happy to be a part of the 'Race 3' family. I hope I am able to live up to all your expectations and match up to legends like Abbas Mustan, Ramesh Taurani and Salman Khan," the director, also an ace choreographer tweeted on Thursday.
Sooraj made his debut opposite Athiya Shetty in Nikhil Advani's 'Hero' in 2015. The film was the remake of Subhash Ghai's directed 1983 film of the same name, which starred Jackie Shroff. Upon its release, the film garnered mostly negative reviews.
In the meantime, the trial against actor Sooraj Pancholi, accused of abetting the suicide of actor Jiah Khan, is likely to begin in March, with the deposition of her mother, Rabia Khan, as the first prosecution witness.
The court had framed charges against Pancholi on January 30 under Section 306 (abetment of suicide) of the IPC. Pancholi had pleaded not guilty. Jiah was found hanging in her Juhu residence on June 3, 2013. Pancholi was arrested on June 10 and granted bail in July. Rabia had said Pancholi should be charged with murder and rape.
