Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to start shooting with Abhishek Bachchan for Gulab Jamun from January next year?

New Delhi: Speculations of Bollywood's IT couple Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan teaming up for the project have been there for almost a year. And we are glad when the actress herself confirmed doing the film with hubby during an interview sometime back.

Aishwarya was last seen sharing screen space with Abhishek in 'Raavan'. The film released in the year 2010 and received mixed reviews. After eight long years, the duo is all set to collaborate again to enthral the audience. The film will be directed by Sarvesh Mewara and produced by Anurag Kashyap and will be backed by Madhu Mantena and Reliance Entertainment.

While initial reports stated that Abhi-Ash would start shooting for the film in the middle of next year, we now hear the film has been preponed and will go on the floors in January 2019.

The film was initially supposed to be produced by now dissolved Phantom Films. However, after one of its co-partners Vikas Bahl got accused of sexually exploiting a female employee, the other three partners Anurag Kashyap, Vikramaditya Motwane and Madhu Mantena decided to disband the production and distribution company and move on to independent projects. The sexual assault allegations levelled on Bahl, however, affected the film as reports did the round that the makers even considered putting the film on hold indefinitely.

Nonetheless, the fans waiting to see Aishwarya-Abhishek together on the screen can rejoice as they won't have to wait for too long. The shooting of 'Gulab Jamun' is expected to begin from earlier next year with other members of the cast while Ash-Abhi will be required to shoot from the start-to-finish schedule.
