However, nothing could materialise between Salman and the makers and no further development took place afterwards.

As per a Pinkvilla report, actor Arjun Kapoor has reportedbly been cast in for the film. The film will be helmed by Anees Bazmee and will be produced by none other but Arjun's father Boney Kapoor.

The search for another actor to fill in the shoes of Fardeen Khan is on while Anil Kapoor, who was a part of the first installment, will team up this time with his doting nephew. The leading ladies are yet to be cast.

If things go as planned, the film is expected to go on floors in September, 2019.

In an interview with PTI last year, Anees had quipped that the sequel to 'No Entry' would be made with or without Salman Khan. "Salman is a fantastic actor, he is a star. If he is part of the film then it is really very good, but if he doesn't want to do it, then we will have to think of another actor with all plus and minus points and accordingly work towards it (story). Whenever Salman is part of a film it does benefit (the film)."
