Mumbai: Directed by Ashim Ahluwalia, ‘Daddy’ starring Arjun Rampal has made a splash on the silverscreen today.
The movie is reportedly based on the life of Arun Gawli, a real-life Mumbai gangster-turned- politician.
Ashim Ahluwalia apparently wanted to narrate a story that communicates something ‘strong and poignant’.
According to Rampal, ‘the film does not side with anybody, it is not about glamourising someone but showing the realism of that world and bringing it out to people’
