New Delhi: Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has reportedly won best actress award at the International Film Festival and Awards of Australia (IFFAA) for her role in 2016 film 'Sarbjit'. The same was confirmed by movie critic and business analyst Taran Adarsh on Twitter.

'Sarbjit' was based on Sarabjit Singh who was sentenced to death by the Supreme Court of Pakistan in 1991 for alleged terrorism and spying.

Aish played the character of Dalbir Kaur (Sarabjit's sister) in the Omung Kumar directorial.
The movie also featured Randeep Hooda, Richa Chadha and Darshan Kumaar in prominent roles. It managed to do fairly decent business at the Box Office.
