Ittefaq is inspired from1969 song-less thriller directed by Yash Chopra. The film starred megastar Rajesh Khanna, Nanda and Iftekhar in the lead roles. The 2017 film had a binding plot and interesting narrative which helped in keeping the audience hooked right till the climax.
Akshaye Khanna's impeccable acting prowess makes this gritty whodunit a watchable experience. The new-age Ittefaq is helmed by debutant filmmaker Abhay Chopra and produced jointly by Dharma and Red Chillies.
The strategy of not promoting the suspense thriller on an extensive scale worked really well for the makers as positive word of mouth publicity clearly set the cash counters ringing.
