Mumbai: Karan Johar is delighted because his latest production venture Dhadak directed by Shashank Khaitan has garnered over 30 million views in 48 hours. The film which marks the Bollywood debut of Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter is a remake of Marathi blockbuster Sairat.
In the new poster, we can see Janhvi (as Parthavi) and Ishaan (as Madhukar) in a pensive mood. The two young lovers are apparently in trouble and the poster reflects the tense atmosphere.
Karan shared the poster and wrote: "A LOVE STORY! #dhadak! 20th of July watch this unconditional story of first love...unconditional love....deep love....and thank you for all the love!! 30 MILLION VIEWS IN 48 hours! @ShashankKhaitan #Janhvi #Ishaan (sic)."

In case you missed watching the trailer, take a look at it here:
Nagraj Manjule’s Marathi blockbuster Sairat featured newcomers Rinku Rajguru and Akash Thosar. The film created waves at the Box Office and struck an emotional chord with the audience.
For uninitiated, Janhvi is veteran actress Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s elder daughter while Ishaan Khatter is Shahid Kapoor’s half-brother. He is the son of actor Neelima Azeem and Rajesh Khatter.
Both these youngsters hail from film families and have the talent of acting in their genes.
Here's looking forward to this story of eternal and unconditional love. Dhadak will hit theatres on July 20, 2018.
