New Delhi: A new poster from the most-awaited Kangana Ranaut starrer Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi has been unveiled and it pays tribute to the valiant queen on her 160th death anniversary.
The official Instagram account of Kangana Ranaut's team took to the photo-sharing app and wrote, "Remembering one of the bravest women that ever lived, #RaniLaxmiBai #Repost if you can't wait to witness her epic story on screen #KanganaRanaut as #Manikarnika. #deathanniversary #tribute #martyr #Queen #warrior #history."
Producer Kamal Jain also took to Twitter to pay his tribute to Rani Lakshmibai. “Our Salute to Manikarnika - The Queen of Jhansi who fell today to rise as one of the tallest Hero, our country has ever known ..@KanganaFanClub;@prasoonjoshi_ @Shankar_Live @DirKrish @EhsaanNoorani @loy_mendonsa @anky1912 @SonuSood,” he wrote.
'Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi' is an epic biographical film based on the life of Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi. It is being directed by Krish and produced by Zee Studios in association with Kamal Jain & Nishant Pitti.
Kangana plays the titular role in the film, the film also marks the Bollywood debut of popular television star Ankita Lokhande. Sonu Sood too plays a pivotal role in the film.
On the work front, Kangana is currently busy shooting for Balaji Telefilms' Mental Hai Kya in London in which she will be seen alongside Rajkummar Rao. Post her Manikarnika schedule, she will start working on Ashwini Iyer Tiwary’s next where she will essay the character of a kabbadi player.
