Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi – Kangana Ranaut’s look as Rani Lakshmibai leaked

Mumbai: Kangana Ranaut’s look as Rani Lakshmibai in Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi has been leaked. The three-time National Award winning actor looks majestic in a royal avatar and we can’t take our eyes off her in the attire of a queen.

The images from the sets of the film reveal Kangana’s look as the warrior Queen.

The film directed by Krish and jointly produced by Zee Studious, Kamal Jain and Nishant Pitti, will mark the Bollywood debut of TV actress Ankita Lokhande. She will essay Jhalkaribai the brave warrior and advisor to Rani Lakshmibai.

The film also stars National Award winning actor Atul Kulkerni, who has done a variety of challenging roles in the past. He will play the role of Ramchandra Pandurang Tope also known as Tatya Tope, the Rani’s aide, who was instrumental in recapturing the city of Gwalior from the British. Sonu Sood too is on board as Sadashiv.

The epic biographical drama about Rani Lakshmibai of Jhansi promises to showcase significant war episodes. Writer-director Vijayendra Prasad, who has penned the story of Kangana Ranaut-starrer upcoming epic drama ‘Manikarnika’, says the war episodes will be the biggest highlight of the film.

The epic film will release on April 27, 2018.
