Newton collections: Rajkummar Rao's Oscar dream remains rock steady at BO

New Delhi: One of the most talented finds in Hindi film industry, actor Rajkummar Rao has proved his acting mettle multiple times and how! His latest release Newton not only boasts of raking in the moolah at the Box Office but also has been selected as India's official entry to Oscars this year.

The film's business surged soon after the Oscar news was announced and has generated audiences' interest in watching an intelligent cinematic delight. Directed by Amit V Masurkar, the story of Newton shows how a government clerk, who is sent on an election duty to a Naxal-controlled town in the conflict-ridden jungles of Chattisgarh faces several hardships while trying to conduct a fair voting procedure. And this makes for a fine watch.
