Mumbai: Omung Kumar, whose directorial 'Sarbjit' has made it to the long list of 336 feature films eligible for the upcoming 89th Academy Awards along with Sushant singh Rajput's 'MS Dhoni
"I feel extremely privileged. It's a dream of every director to get featured in that list. Had it been some other director's film, as an Indian, I would have been happy too," he said.
"I feel proud not because it's Hollywood but since childhood we feel happy to get recognition by getting a National Award or Oscars etc. One always dreams of climbing those stairs when your film's name is announced in Oscars," added the director.
However, Omung wishes best for both the films as he said, "Whichever film wins, it will be a proud moment for India. I wish both 'Sarbjit' & 'MS Dhoni: The Untold Story' do well."
When asked about his future projects, the 'Mary Kom' director said, "I am working on 'Bhoomi' which stars Sanjay Dutt. It's not a biopic but portrays a father-daughter relationship. We will start shooting in Agra from January end.
