Now, it has been confirmed that the film will not see any change in the release date and will be releasing on November 17 as promised. Mumbai Mirror quotes the company's spokesperson as saying, “It will keep its November 17 date with the box-office.”

'Padmavati' is currently being shot and the actors are fully geared up to wrap-up their respective parts on time. SLB often keeps the look of his film and characters heavily guarded and this time the practice is same.

Deepika will be seen playing the titular role of Rani Padmini whereas Shahid will play her on-screen husband Raval Ratan Singh. Ranveer will essay the ferocious character of Alauddin Khilji and for that he is currently growing a beard and long hair.
