Priyanka Chopra gives IIFA 2017 a miss: Here’s why

Mumbai: Priyanka Chopra, who is spending some family time in India, was abroad a few days ago to shoot for her upcoming Hollywood flicks – ‘A Kid Like Jake’ and ‘Isn’t It Romantic?’. The Desi girl, who had attended most of the awards events in Hollywood in the recent past, decided to give IIFA 2017 a miss.

The former Miss World has had an extremely busy shooting schedule in the recent past. Her debut Hollywood flick- Baywatch – released this summer and now she has two other projects in her kitty. She has also been co-producing regional films in India along with her mother. Moreover, she has the third season of ‘Quantico’ to look forward to. So she was definitely in need of a break.

According to a report in DNA, Priyanka said, “I don’t do what everyone else does. That’s boring. I just got a few days off from shoot, so I decided to ring in my birthday with my family and close friends back home. I thought that’s more important this year.”
