New Delhi: Just as actress Priyanka Chopra lands in India after wrapping up her work on 'Quantico season 2', the buzz around the diva is up in the air again. It has been reported that the powerhouse of talent Priyanka will next be starring in a biopic based on late Indian astronaut Kalpana Chawla.
According to Mid-Day.com, there is a strong possibility that Priyanka might star in the venture as her team is involved with the project details for a year now. Quoting a source, the report states that, “The script has also been locked”.
The biopic will be helmed by newcomer Priya Mishra and the film will be produced by a new banner, reportedly. The film is expected to be made on an international level and a new production company by the name of Getway is most likely to back the venture, according to the report.
Kalpana Chawla, was the first Indian-origin woman to enter space. She first flew on Space Shuttle Columbia in 1997 as a mission specialist and primary robotic arm operator. In 2003, Chawla was one of the seven crew members who died in the Space Shuttle Columbia disaster.
No confirmation has been made on the project by the actress as yet.
