New Delhi: It was learnt last year that R Madhavan has been cast in a biopic based on the life of ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan. And it will be helmed by national-award winner Ananth Mahadevan.
Now, as per latest reports, the film has been titled 'Rocketry' and will be a multilingual made in English, Hindi and Tamil.
On Monday, Madhavan shared three video on the social media to share the theme with the viewers. The first official teaser of the film will be launched on October 31.
Sharing the video on Instagram, Maddy wrote, "INTERNATIONAL ENGLISH —-Rocketry -Hindi first call] pls do share as much as possible my dear dear people .#Rocketry". Take a look at his post here:
Madhavan is expected to sport three different looks in the film. Earlier, reports said that the film will have the English portions shot in Princeton and Russia and Tamil portions in Sriharikota.
In an interview to an entertainment website, director Ananth said, "I heard about the ISRO spy case and how Nambi Narayanan, who was charged with espionage, fought to prove his innocence. When I met this gentleman, I learned the whole story behind his life. Unfortunately, it was the spy case that brought him to limelight whereas he should have been known for a much better reason."
Ananth further added that he will treat the biopic as an international film. "For a film like this, we cannot think of an actor who is not educated or aware. The actor should not only be in tune with just politics and general awareness but science itself. And Madhavan is an electronics engineer, and he knows science and what rockets are. He also had a stint in Indian Air Force training. I think Madhavan is the only Indian actor qualified to do this part because he is a thinking actor who is also well-read."
Apart from 'Rocketry', Madhavan will also be seen in Telugu action film 'Savyasachi' and Anand L Rai's 'Zero'.
