Rani Mukerji`s `Hichki` crosses Rs 100 crore mark in China
`Hichki` has won hearts internationally as well
New Delhi: Rani Mukerji's comeback venture 'Hichki' left quite an impression at the Indian Box office. The film released in India on March 23, 2018 and was well-received by audience as well as critics. 'Hichki' became one of the top grossers of 2018 after 'Padmaavat', 'PadMan', 'Raid' and 'Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety'. The film is produced under the Yash Raj Films banner and hit the screens in China on October 12.
'Hichki' has won hearts internationally as well as it has now crossed the Rs 100 Crore mark in China!
Sharing the news, noted film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter and wrote, “#Hichki springs a BIG SURPRISE in #China... Crosses ₹ (100) cr... The growth during weekends and strong trending on weekdays has helped put up a healthy total... Total till 25 Oct 2018: $ 13.94 mn [₹ 102.09 cr]... Power of good content!”
The film is about the life of Naina Mathur, a school teacher who is suffering from Tourette Syndrome. Shunned by the world, Naina finally finds acceptance in a bunch of students who are also the victims of oppression from the society. Naina and her students then embark on a mission to show the world that they are no less than anyone else out there.
