Mumbai: Ranveer Singh took to Twitter Wednesday morning to inform his followers that a ‘notorious’ surprise was on its way! And we can’t help but wonder what he is referring to.

Well, Ranveer’s latest – Padmavati – a film directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali co-starring Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor – has been in the eye of the storm. He essays Alauddin Khilji, a historical character from the times of the Delhi Sultanate, in the film.


The hunk of an actor, who wowed audiences as Maratha Peshwa and brave warrior in Bajirao Mastani, is all set to send shivers down the spine by portraying the Sultan in Padmavati.


In the Padmavati trailer, Ranveer stole the limelight from his rumoured real-life girlfriend Deepika and senior Shahid by exhibiting his versatility to the T. Speculations were rife that the film has a song featuring Ranveer and is he referring to it as the ‘notorious’ surprise that is on its way? Well, we can only make guesses right now.


Interestingly, Ranveer is all set to bring legendary cricketer Kapil Dev’s success story to the big screen by playing him in a film directed by Kabir Khan. So the surprise could also be the first look of the film.


Moreover, he is also going to be a part of Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy co-starring Alia Bhatt. So, it could also be something related to his upcoming projects.


However, given the fact that Ranveer has quite a few plump brand endorsement deals too, it is quite difficult to predict what the notorious surprise is.
