New Delhi: Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmaavat', which stars Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor in pivotal roles, is shattering records on a large scale.

The film, that has been received praises for the spectacular performances by lead actors -- Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor, continuous to perform well on the Box Office. 


Though the film had slowed down in terms of the collection in the second week, it is expected to gain its momentum in the weekend, as per industry experts. 


On Sunday, trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh announced on Twitter that the film was back on its form on February 9 (Saturday) and witnessed a big jump in its earnings. "#Padmaavat is back in form on Sat... Witnesses BIG JUMP... Will cross ₹ 250 cr today... [Week 3] Fri 3.50 cr, Sat 6.30 cr. Total: ₹ 245.80 cr. India biz," Taran said in a tweet on Sunday. 



The film earned Rs 3.50 crore on Friday and Rs 6.30 crore on Saturday, taking its net collection to Rs 245.80 crore at the Box Office and is most likely to cross Rs 250 crore mark on Sunday. 


Before its release, the period drama faced massive protests from certain fringe groups across the nation, who demanded to put a pan India ban on the period drama. After braving all odds, the movie finally hit the screens on January 25.


The film is based on the epic poem 'Padmavat' which was written in 1540 by Sufi poet Malik Muhammad Jayasi. The impeccable performances of the lead actors in the movie have been appreciated by one and sundry.
