Mumbai: If the latest reports are to be believed, Sridevi will start shooting for a sequel to 1987 blockbuster ‘Mr. India’ after her next – ‘Mom’ releases.
According to a report in dnaindia.com originally attributed to Deccan Chronicle, the film will take the story forward.
The veteran actress had started opposite Anil Kapoor in the Shekhar Kapoor directorial. Anil essayed the titular role in the film which was a perfect family entertainer. The film also featured late actor Amrish Puri, who essayed one of the most iconic characters in Indian cinema – Mogambo.
Currently, the ‘English Vinglish’ superstar is busy promoting ‘Mom’ a thriller which also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Akshaye Khanna and Pakistani actress Sajal Ali.
Interestingly, ‘Mom’ is Sridevi’s 300th film and will release in July, thereby marking her 50th year in the film industry.
