New Delhi: Superstar Salman Khan's latest outing 'Tubelight' has received a mixed response from the classes and masses alike. The film despite having a strong star cast has failed to enter the Rs 100 crore club after four days of releasing on June 23, 2017.
'Tubelight' happens to be the only Eid release of Salman which has not garnered an impressive box office number. According to noted film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film has earned Rs 83.86 crore so far.
He tweeted:
#Tubelight Fri 21.15 cr, Sat 21.17 cr, Sun 22.45 cr, Mon 19.09 cr [Eid]. Total: ₹ 83.86 cr. India biz.

What's surprising is that #Tubelight hasn't crossed ₹ 30 cr *on a single day* till now... Not on Sun... Not even on Mon [Eid holiday]...

#Tubelight has underperformed on Eid... Generally, Salman films set new records/do roaring biz on Eid, but it's an exception this time...

'Tubelight' is directed by Kabir Khan and had Chinese actress Zhu Zhu making her big screen debut. Salman and Sohail Khan's brotherly bond has been much appreciated. Little boy Matin Rey Tangu's act and Salman's innocent play too has evoked many emotions among the viewers.
