New Delhi: Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan has done the unthinkable. The 30-year-old hunk not only ended the Box office draught, which had been haunting the industry since past few months, but he also proved his worth as an actor with his latest release Judwaa 2.

The David Dhawan directorial interestingly made the most of the long weekend. By aptly encashing the Gandhi Jayanti holiday, It reportedly minted over minted Rs 18 crore on Monday. Noted movie critic and business analyst Taran Adarsh on Tuesday took to Twitter to confirm the same.


"#Judwaa2 crosses ₹ 75 cr mark... Fri 16.10 cr, Sat 20.55 cr, Sun 22.60 cr, Mon 18 cr. Total: ₹ 77.25 cr. India biz. OUTSTANDING!" he posted on the microblogging website. Keeping in mind the current BO figures of the flick, it is now likely to surpass the prestigious Rs 100 crore mark with a week.



Judwaa 2 is a remake of 1997 blockbuster Judwaa which featured superstar Salman Khan in the lead. Actresses Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu also play important roles in the remake.
