New Delhi: A lot of speculations are being made about Shahid Kapoor starrer Batti Gul Meter Chalu. The male lead of the film, Shahid, was announced with the movie but we couldn't help and wonder about the rest of the star cast. As per reports, actress Shraddha Kapoor is also a part of the project.

The latest actress to have joined the film is Yami Gautam. The Kaabil actress took to Twitter to express her happiness and was welcomed aboard by Shahid!

Well now that Yami has joined the project, are you all the more excited for the film? Going by the reports, the movie is a sequel to Akshay Kumar's Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. 


Batti Gul Meter Chalu will release on August 31, 2018.


Shahid was last seen with Shraddha in Haider. This is, however, the first time that the actor will share the screen space with Yami. As per reports, the movie is likely to go on the floors in the second week of February.
