Audi launches its most secure sedan A8 L at Rs 9.15 cr in India

New Delhi: German luxury car manufacturer Audi launched A8 L Security sedan, dubbed as "the most secure Audi ever", starting at Rs 9.15 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The car satisfies the criteria of the class VR 9 ballistic protection standard, currently the most stringent requirements for civilian high-security sedans, Audi India said in a statement.

With high aluminium content in the body, the vehicle's weight is relatively low. It can handle a maximum payload of 600 kg, which the company says, is the best figure in the competitive field.

The new Audi A8 L Security, which is available for order now, has standard security features such as armoured communication box in luggage compartment, selective door unlocking, fire extinguishing system and emergency fresh air system, among others.
