New Delhi: Along with a new year, Indian Automobile Industry will also come up with new technologies to knock the car market by intruducing new features.

An automatic transmission or AMT controls manual gear changes by dispensing with the need to press a clutch pedal at the same time as changing gears. It is done by the use of electronic sensors, pneumatics, processors and actuators to execute gear shifts after getting input from the driver or by a computer.

Here is the list of five cars to be launched in 2016 featuring AMT

1. Mahindra Quanto Facelift

Engine: mHawk80 three cylinder diesel engine

Price: INR 4 lakh (Starting price)

2. Renault Kwid AMT

Engine: 1.0 liter engine

Price: Rs 4.02 lakh (Not yet confirmed)

3. Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire

Engine: 1.3-litre DDiS engine

Price: Rs 30,000 or RS 40,000 more than current model

4. DC Avanti 310

Engine: 2.0-litre turbocharged engine

Price: Rs 44 lakh (Ex showroom Delhi)

5. Tata Zica

Engine: 1.2 litre three cylinder DOHC aluminium motor and a 1.0 litre three cylinder diesel engine

Price: Rs 3.5 lakh (Starting Price)
