New Delhi: Raking up the competition in app based taxi services market, Uber has announced a new feature for booking car. It will help those people who don't have the Uber app installed on their phone.

The service called ‘Request Rides for Others’ helps you to request cab for family and friends. It can be booked through your android devices.

How does the new feature work?

Go to the Uber app

Place your pin on your friends’ pick-up location and request

Pick your friends’ contact information from your address book

Select the preferred payment method

On confirming the request, the rider will get an SMS with details about the trip they are taking and the driver phone number, so they can contact them directly.
