New Delhi: With festivities around the corner, you might be all geared-up to spend on a lot of things  you have been waiting for.

From smartphones to electronics to clothes, the list would be long. However, this is also the time when many Indian households plan to buy their new car.

Here's looking at five recently launched cars that you can buy this festive season (We are mentioning the yet-to-be launched 'Kite' because it is soon going to be launched)

Maruti Suzuki Baleno

This could be your choice of car if you are a Maruti lover. Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) has rolled out its latest model 'Baleno', priced between Rs 4.99 lakh and Rs 8.11 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The model also comes with various features including multi-information speedometer and UV reduction glasses. The carmaker has also given safety equipment like airbags and Anti-lock braking system (ABS) as standard across all the variants of the new model. As per the company, the petrol variant of Baleno would deliver a fuel mileage of 21.4 kmpl while the diesel version would deliver a mileage of 27.39 kmpl.

Renault Kwid

Really swanky and full of performance, the Kwid could be another choice. Renault had launched Kwid in last week of September, at a starting priced of Rs 2.56 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). According to Renault, Kwid is the country's most fuel efficient petrol vehicle with a mileage of 25.17 kmpl. Renault has received over 50,000 booking orders for its small car Kwid in India in less than a month of its launch.

Maruti Ciaz RS

If you are willing to buy a sub Rs 10 Lakh sedan with elegance and performance, Ciaz could be one of your options. Maruti Suzuki India has launched a variant of its mid-sized sedan Ciaz priced at Rs 9.2 lakh and Rs 10.28 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The Ciaz RS variant is available in both petrol and smart hybrid diesel options. Ciaz RS comes with new sporty black interiors and a grey chrome finish instrument panel.

Fiat Punto Abarth, Avventura crossover

Both Punto Abarth, Avventura crossover are performance oriented products. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has launched two performance oriented products - premium hatchback Punto Abarth and crossover Avventura powered by Abarth - priced at Rs 9.95 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Both Abarth Punto and Avventura are powered by a 1.4 litre petrol engine. Punto delivers power of 145 hp while Avventura delivers power of 140 hp.

Tata Kite hatchback

The Tata Kite hatchback deserves a special mention because it is soon going to be launched in the market. Going by reports, Kite will be powered by 1.05-litre, 3-cylinder diesel engine producing 64bhp power and 140Nm of peak torque. The petrol model will get 1.2-litre Revotron unit. It is the same engine that powers the Bolt.
