New Delhi: Amrapali Jewels, worn by Hollywood actresses like Megan Fox and Halle Berry, has been short-listed for Andrea Palladio International Jewellery Awards (APIJA), which honours the best in jewellery business across the world.
The brand is nominated in the category of the best international jewellery brand collection along with other brands such as Tiffany & Co, Brumani, H. Stern & Van Cleef and Arpels.
"This nomination is an important recognition of our design language and world wide appeal, Amrapali is the first Indian Brand to be accepted as truly International," said says Rajiv Arora, co-founder, Amrapali Jewels, in a statement.
Other international celebrities who were seen sporting the brand are actresses Rachel McAdams, Sandra Bullock, Jennifer Lopez and Penelope Cruz.
The nominated brands have been short-listed by an international jury of experts including designers and retailers. There will also be an award for best Italian jewellery designer, best international jewellery designer, best jewellery website, best jewellery communication campaign and best jewellery packaging.
Amrapali is the only Indian design house to be nominated amongst above categories. The prize giving ceremony will take place May 19 in Venice, Italy.
