New Delhi: In the latest, Maruti has on Thursday announced a free service campaign to replace the faulty brake part in its units of S-Cross.
About 20,427 units of S-Cross which were manufactured between April 20, 2015 and February 12 2016 will be be serviced.
According to reports, the recall will affect both the variants of S-cross (DDiS 200 and DDiS 320).
Maruti Suzuki India today said as many as 20,427 units of its premium crossover model S-Cross need possible replacement of a faulty brake part and announced a 'free service campaign' to rectify the problem.
"The service campaign applies to both the S-Cross variants (DDiS200 and DDIs320). The inspection and replacement will be done free of cost," it said.
Owners of the impacted vehicles will be contacted by dealers.
Last year in March, the company had announced a recall of 33,098 units of its small car models Alto 800 and Alto K10 manufactured between December 8, 2014 and February 18, 2015 to rectify defective latches on right side doors.
Ever since the auto industry body SIAM started voluntary vehicle recalls for safety related issues in India in July 2012, nearly 18 lakh vehicles have been recalled by various manufacturers in India.
