Now Flipkart plans to sell automobiles online

Bengaluru: In the latest, ecommerce retailer Flipkart is planning to enter the territory of automobile and accessories sales considering huge margins associated in the sector that is worth over $50 billion, as per a report published in ET. The company is mulling over a plan to sell automobiles, scooters and cars along with the spare parts, the report adds further.

The experts believe that if the plan materializes, the online retailer will pose a tough challenge to auto retail portals such as CarDekho and CarTrade and also aggressively take on its primary rivals — Amazon and Snapdeal.

Experts believe that the online retailer can strike an edge over its competitors by ensuring timely delivery and ensuring price  transparency.
