New Delhi: Tata Motors Thursday reported 21 percent increase in its global sales, including that of Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) vehicles, at 97,102 units in September.

The company had sold 80,104 units in the same month last year, Tata Motors said in a statement.


In the passenger vehicles category, global sales stood at 63,334 units last month as against 45,186 units in September 2014, up 40 percent.


Sales of luxury brand Jaguar Land Rover rose by 55 percent to 51,074 units in September as compared to 32,858 units in the same month last year.


The company's sales of commercial vehicles in September declined by 3 percent to 33,768 units from 34,918 units a year ago.
