Islamabad: The animal rights group (PETA) has named Janet Jackson as the ‘Grinch Of The Year’.
The group honored the singer as they felt that she has exploited the well being of animals in her fashion choices more than any other celebrity in 2011.
According to JAM, Jackson, who teamed up with company Blackglamma to debut her line of fur clothing accessories in November, topped the list ahead of director Cameron Crowe and reality TV star Kim Kardashian.
“While the holidays may be known as the season of giving and peace on earth, that’s not always the case for our animal friends,” the Nation quoted Peta spokeswoman Wendy Wegner as saying.
“When Janet Jackson had her infamous wardrobe malfunction during Super Bowl XXXVIII, at least what popped into view of 170 million onlookers belonged to her, unlike the animal skins she drapes herself in, which are as dead as her fashion taste and her career,” Wegner added.
