Bengaluru: In the latest, app-based taxi aggregators Uber and Ola have been accused of violating existing traffic rules by Karnataka. The cab service providers have been accused of operating without mandatory license. About 100 vehicles belonging to both companies were seized by the concerned authorities on Thursday.

However, the firms have denied the charges and claimed they have applied for license.

The Uber spokesperson has issued a statement saying that the firm has already applied for the license under the new scheme and also sent its objections to the Karnataka transport department, but have not heard from the same yet.
