Volkswagen Ameo diesel variant to be launched in India today

German automaker Volkswagen will launch the diesel engine version of its compact sedan Ameo on Tuesday.

German automaker Volkswagen will launch the diesel engine version of its compact sedan Ameo in India on Tuesday.

Volkswagen had earlier launched the only petrol version of compact sedan Ameo in India in June this year, priced between Rs 5.24 lakh and Rs 7.05 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

Ameo, which has been developed specifically for the Indian market, is the German auto major’s first ever sub 4-metre sedan.

The German company had invested Rs 720 crore to make this sub-4 meter car, developed and designed especially for the domestic market.
