Volkswagen launches Polo GTI sports hatchback at Auto Expo 2016

New Delhi: German carmaker Volkswagen unveiled its sports hatchback Polo GTI in Auto Expo 2016 on Monday.

The car is targeted at niche segment of enthusiasts.

The Polo GTI is powered by a 1.8 litre petrol engine mated with a 7 speed gear box.

The engine has the capability of delivering EU 6 emissions norms. The Polo GTI comes fitted with safety features such as ABS, ESP and Hill-hold functions and airbags as standard features.

Other cars that Volkswagen sells in India are the Polo, Vento, Jetta and Beetle in India.
