Kim Kardashian going philosophical to impress Kanye West

London: Kim Kardashian is reading philosophy and trying to stay updated about current affairs to impress her boyfriend Kanye West.

The ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ star has been getting to know the 19th Century philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche’s work because she knows the 34-year-old rapper is his fan. “Kim’s desperate to show Kanye she’s not some kind of bimbo, so she’s reading up on Nietzsche as Kanye says he’s a huge inspiration of his,” the Sun quoted a source as saying. The 31-year-old star is also trying to stay abreast with current affairs in order to seem more knowledgeable to her new music producer partner. “She’s making sure she reads the papers and the news every day and has downloaded the CNN app on her phone to keep up to the minute,” the source said. Kim is also said to be experimenting with painting so that she can chat to West about his love of all things art. Friends say she has just employed an art dealer to put in a bid for an artwork by graffiti artist Jean-Michel Basquiat - whose other fans include U2 frontman Bono and ‘Fashion Star’ presenter Elle Macpherson.
