Tusshar gifts Nandita Mahtani`s dress to Ekta

Mumbai: Actor Tusshar Kapoor has denied rumours that he gifted an international designer`s creation to his sister Ekta Kapoor on her 37th birthday -- instead, he asked friend Nandita Mahtani to make something for Ekta, he says.

"I haven`t ordered an outfit from an international brand as reported but have asked my friend, the talented Nandita Mahtani, to make something," Tusshar tweeted. Ekta turned 37 Friday and Tusshar, who usually gifts her cell phones, perfumes and watches, thought of gifting her a designer ensemble. The 35-year-old picked up a chic dress from Mahtani`s collection and tweeted: "For Ekta, for her birthday! Hope she likes it." Ekta, well-known Bollywood producer, once used to wear only loose fitting outfits because of her weight. But of late, she has transformed into a fashion diva - from dresses to kaftans, she makes a style statement every time she steps out. Ekta was last seen at filmmaker Karan Johar`s birthday bash where she surprised everyone by choosing an off shoulder body hugging gown. IANS
