Melbourne: A lawsuit, which had been filed against Madonna for being too loud in her Manhattan apartment has been settled quietly.
The pop queen’s upstairs neighbour Karen George had sued the 53-year-old singer and the West 64th Street building’s coop board, charging that loud music and dancing from the singer’s apartment was driving her crazy, and that the building had not done enough to try to stop the problem.
Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Louis York gave the case the green light to go to trial back in September.
The terms of the settlement were not disclosed.
The ‘Material Girl’ hitmaker moved out of the building earlier this year, and now lives in an East Side townhouse, the Herald Sun reported.
Her rep, Liz Rosenberg failed to comment on the matter.
She said earlier this year that while Madonna lived in the building, she was a beloved and excellent neighbour.
