Alex Reid calls off wedding with Chantelle Houghton

London: Boxer Alex Reid has called off his engagement to pregnant girlfriend Chantelle Houghton.

The 36-year-old cage fighter`s relationship is in a crisis in the wake of blazing rows with Houghton over her interfering friends, reported a website. The relationship started to crumble last month after Houghton, 28, spoke about how he had exchanged messages with a teenage model. "I have told Chantelle I am not marrying her when things are like this. Friends keep pushing her to say things about us that aren`t true and keep poking their noses into our lives no matter how much it hurts me," Reid said to a friend. Reid`s announcement came just after his ex-wife Katie Price revealed she was going to marry Argentinian model Leandro Penna. PTI
