New Delhi: Hong Kong-based TCL Communication-owned Alcatel on Monday launched its 4G-enabled "Pop Star" smartphone in India which is exclusively available on e-commerce portal Gadgets 360.
The Rs 6,999 device is powered by 1GHz quad-core processor paired with 1GB RAM and runs on Android Lollipop 5.1 operating system. It has 8GB of internal storage that can be expanded to 32GB.
"Pop Star is our fashionable yet affordable range of smartphones. The launch is an another step towards our recent e-commerce initiatives to bring technological advanced and stylish phones at affordable pricing in India," said Praveen Valecha, regional director of Alcatel India, in a statement.
The smartphone comes with fully-laminated 5-inch HD IPS display which, the company claims, offers 75 percent less light reflection for easy readability under sunlight.
The device has 8 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front camera. The smartphone is fuelled by 2000mAH battery.
