New Delhi: Google CEO Sundar Pichai during his maiden visit to India has announced the launch of Asus Chromebit. The India-born CEO said that Asus Chromebit will be launched in India by January next year at Rs 7,999.
He unveiled it during the event 'Google for India' in New Delhi on Tuesday.
The Asus Chromebit is powered by Chrome Operating System and runs on Rocketchip 3288 quad core ARM based processor.
It is a handy sized computer which can easily be connected to mouse, keyboard and tranform any monitor into PC via HDMI port.
This plug and play device packs 2GB RAM and 16GB of onboard storage. Being Google's product, the device offers free 100 gigabytes of Google Drive Storage to users.
The Chromebit supports WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 2.0 port along with a fast playback of 1080 pixels videos on a screen easily.
The new Chrome product will prove most useful for old PC's and monitors in converting their dumbness into smartness. It just needs to get plugged and will provide the facilities like web browsing, editing documents, running applications and watching movies.
