Aishwarya to walk the red carpet at Cannes today

New Delhi: For those who have been curious about when Aishwarya Rai would be making an appearance at the ongoing Cannes film festival, there is news. The light eyed beauty, who has been a regular at the French festival will be walking the red carpet on Thursday and Friday. The new mother, who has gained quite a bit of weight post the delivery of her baby girl will stick to Indian attire this year for the red carpet. News has it that Ash would be wearing a cream saree with golden embroidery designed by designer duo Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla. Fashion critics were skeptical about Ash’s red carpet outing and there was a lot of curiosity as to what kind of attire the actress would be donning. The actress will also be seen wearing an anarkali designed by the same designer duo who happen to be close family friends of the Bachchans. Contrary to reports, Abhishek Bachchan would not be accompanying Ash at the festival. Abhishek is busy shooting for ‘Bol Bachchan’. Sources have revealed that Aishwarya left for Cannes on Monday night with her mother Brinda, daughter Aaradhya and her team of make up artists. Rumour mills are also working overtime that Ash may use Cannes as the platform to introduce her daughter Aaradhya to the world. The world is waiting with baited breath to see the new mother sashay down the red carpet.
