Zee Media Bureau New Delhi: Gionee has launched its thinnest smartphone – Elife S5.1 in India at a price tag of Rs 18,999. The smartphone will hit the stores by next week.
The smartphone is the successor to the Elife S5.5 which previous held the title of the world’s thinnest phone in the handset market.
The Elife S5.1 comes with a metallic frame and glass body at just 5.1mm thickness. The Elife S5.1 sports a 4.8-inch 720p AMOLED display, which is a step down from the 5-inch Full HD display seen on the S5.5. It comes powered by 1.7GHz octa-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM.
The S5.1 runs on Android 4.4 operating system with a layer of the company’s Amigo 2.0 UI. It offers a 8MP rear snapper and a 5MP front-facing camera.
The smartphone has 16GB onboard storage and is fuelled by a 2,050mAh battery.
