Amanda Bynes arrested for DUI

Los Angeles: ‘Hairspray’ actress Amanda Bynes was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI) after her car collided with a police vehicle.

The actress was later released after posting a bail of USD 5,000. The 26-year-old was pulled over early on Friday after she clipped the back of the patrol vehicle while driving through West Hollywood, three days after celebrating her 26th birthday, reported People magazine. According to a police statement issued, there was "minor paint transfer damage to both vehicles". Bynes spent several hours in custody before being released later on Friday. It`s the second time the actress has faced legal trouble in just four weeks. She hit the headlines last month after allegedly fleeing the scene of a crime when she was pulled over for talking on her cell phone while driving in Los Angeles. PTI
