A fortnight before its official arrival in the country, pre-booking for Apple Inc's latest iPhones, the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus has already begun across India.
While The MobileStore, India's largest mobile retail chain will begin accepting pre-booking for the iPhones Friday, UniverCell is said to have already begun accepting pre-bookings.
As per reports on Economic Times, UniverCell is said to have managed a minimum pre-order for over 100 iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. The retail chain is offering freebies such as financial scheme and EMI in order to attract customers.
On the other hand, The MobileStore will begin accepting pre-booking for the iPhones from October 2 for a minimal charge of Rs 2,000 only. The pre-booking will be open till October 13, the company said.
iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus will go on sales in India on the intervening night of October 15-16.
Sources say the 16GB version of the iPhone 6s is likely to cost around Rs 62,000 while the iPhone 6s Plus with the same storage version will cost Rs 72,000.
