New Delhi: Chinese handset maker LeTV, which recently got renamed as LeEco has said that it sold 200,000 superphones in just 30 days.
LeEco's two superphones - Le 1s, the flagship killer and the premium Big and Bold, Le Max have been in news lately for the unprecedented response they've got from consumers and industry alike ever since they went on sale, February 2nd and February 16th respectively. The company has created several industry leading milestones since its inception in India and has successfully established itself as a significant player in the smartphone industry.
"The superphones are powered by our string ecosystem of multiple devices, content, cloud and platform. The incredible response from our consumers is very humbling and it re-affirms that our proposition of breakthrough technology, comprehensive ecosystem and sustainable disruptive pricing is being well received by our consumers," said Atul Jain, COO, smart electronic devices, LeEco India.
The company recently organised LeEco Day, a biggest shopping carnival in India and received an incredible response from consumers. In its bigger-than-big shopping bonanza, the company had put up exciting offers and benefits valued at around Rs. 8 crores, making it the largest and most attractive shopping carnivals organised by a smartphone brand on e-commerce platform till date.
Buyers of the Le superphones can expect a content ecosystem to be uploaded into its android-based EUI system in the 2nd quarter of this year since the company has already signed contracts with Eros and Yupp TV. The company has inked a deal Eros Now for Video-on-demand (VOD) and with YuppTV for TV content streaming.
