New Delhi: Home-grown handset maker Micromax recently launched the Canvas Spark 2 Plus pricing it at just Rs 3,999 only.
The company claims that the Canvas Spark 2 Plus is the cheapest smartphone in India.
Available exclusively on Snapdeal, the Canvas Spark 2 Plus sports a 5-inch WVGA (480x854 pixels) display and is backed by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor paired up with 1GB of RAM.
It includes an internal storage of 8GB as well and unlike many smartphones at this price, the Cavas Spark 2 Plus runs on Android Marshmallow.
It is also equipped with a 5MP rear camera and a 2MP front facing camera.
It also supports 10 regional Indian languages and is supported by a 2000mAh battery.
Commenting on the launch, Shubhajit Sen, Chief Marketing Officer, Micromax, said: "With the launch of the Canvas Spark 2 Plus, we are offering first time users, with a smooth transition at a wallet-friendly price. Our objective is to convert feature phone users into smartphone users, and synthesize technology and affordability in for this device. Through our partnership with Snapdeal for exclusive Spark series, we have very successfully expanded the overall entry smartphone market and created a favourable impact in the e-commerce channel capturing over 11 percent of the exclusive online market last year."
