New Delhi: Chinese tech giant Xiaomi has launched the Mi Community in India. The forum will work similar to that of its Chinese counterpart.

Registered Mi fans can contribute ideas, share feedback and take part in contests and become part of the launch events.

What's even more exciting for the beta testers is that they will get a chance to use MIUI 8 before the official release.

Through the forum, Xiaomi has announced that it has started taking registration for its upcoming Mi Max smartphone. The phone will be launched at Delhi's Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on June 30.

Registrations will close on June 23 at 8pm IST.

Company's Global VP Hugo Barra has tweeted:

The smartphone with a mammoth 4850mAh battery will boast of a 6.44 inch display, something that the company describes “huge”.

The Xiaomi Mi Max was first launched in China at $230. It will be available in Dark Grey, Gold, and Silver colour options.
