Chennai: Microsoft Tuesday launched LUMIA 640 LTE 4G device priced at Rs 17,399 with an aim to widen its portfolio in the mobile devices space under the LUMIA series.

The LUMIA smartphone with 4G capability, which comes with 13MP camera, 5.7 inch HD screen and Windows 8.1 operating system, would be available across India, Microsoft Mobile Devices, Director (Sales), South, T S Sridhar said.


The dual sim smartphone is equipped with 13MP rear camera, full HD display, Corning Gorilla Glass 3, sunlight readability, 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor.


"We understand the needs of the Indian consumers and with the LUMIA range we have always focused on complementing the needs of the customers across segments by delivering new experiences and features. LUMIA 640XL LTE is powerpacked offering great productivity at power of 4G", he added.


Microsoft would retail the smartphone with bundled offer from telecom operator Bharti Airtel till December 31, 2015.
